June 14, 2025: Roseville Galleria Protest Gave me Hope

The Roseville Galleria protest gave me hope. Yes, today was a tragic day when Democratic lawmakers were attacked and killed in a political assassination, military tanks rolled down the streets of D.C. for a wannabe dictator, and police violence is escalating in LA against peaceful protesters.
But in Roseville, we showed love. We cared for each other. I saw dozens of people giving out free water and snacks. Offering sunscreen. Keeping people safe. It was a powerful community event where we all shared a common belief: we believe in democracy, the rule of law, and preserving our institutions. We reject the vile hate, lies, and authoritarian takeover of our country.
Times are scary. But I believe in my neighbors. My friends. My community. We will overcome. We will continue to fight. And when this is over, and Trump is gone, and every single person who assisted his administration is in prison, we will rebuild.
