My Priorities

“We’re all in this together.”

California Priorities

Healthcare for all. Universal healthcare should come from the federal level but California can do our part. We must lower healthcare costs by expanding Medi-Cal, increasing transparency in pricing, reducing prescription drug costs, and protecting fundamental rights to reproductive care.

Affordable housing for all. Housing is a human right. We must expand affordable housing, protect tenants' rights, and address the housing crisis and homelessness with compassionate and effective solutions.

Dignity and justice for all. Diversity and inclusion are foundational to building a society that values equality and fairness. We must protect and maintain our rights to choose, rights to privacy, rights to marry, and ultimately, our rights to life, liberty, and a pursuit of happiness.

End corporate welfare. Eliminate subsidies and tax breaks for large corporations, especially in industries like tech, which often see record profits while paying little to no taxes. Redirect those funds into social programs that benefit working families and improve public infrastructure.

Reduce corporate influence in politics. Corporate donations to political campaigns often lead to policies that favor the rich and powerful at the expense of the public good. We need campaign finance reform that limits the influence of corporate money in politics, ensuring our elected officials represent the interests of everyday people, not corporate elites.

Protect our students and children. Placer County has seen an influx in people working to dismantle our public schools and attack students for expressing themselves. Expand mental health and support services for students and provide funding to schools and teachers to keep our schools great.

Incentivize the development of affordable housing, including workforce housing and mixed-use developments. Focus on streamlining zoning regulations to make it easier for developers to build affordable housing without sacrificing our beautiful area's character.

Increase the availability of healthcare services in rural communities by expanding healthcare, telehealth and mobile healthcare units. Support aging populations with senior care programs, such as home healthcare, caregiver support, and affordable senior housing.

Invest in public transit and road improvements. Expand public transit options to connect Placer County with Sacramento and other neighboring counties. Invest in improving key roads and infrastructure, especially in more rural areas.

My Values

Diversity, inclusivity, and compassion are foundational to building a society that values equality and fairness, and these principles are deeply connected to other critical policies like healthcare, housing, and freedoms.

Ensuring equitable access to healthcare means addressing the unique needs of diverse communities, including providing gender-affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals, reaffirming reproductive rights, and eliminating disparities in treatment based on race, ethnicity, or income.

Fair housing policies must protect against discrimination while fostering communities where everyone, regardless of identity, can afford a safe and stable home.

We must protect and maintain our rights to choose, rights to privacy, rights to marry, and ultimately, our rights to life, liberty, and a pursuit of happiness. Freedoms are built brick-by-brick by those who came before us and maintained by those of us today.

By recognizing the intersections between social justice and basic needs, policies that champion diversity and human rights help create a society where individuals are empowered to thrive holistically, promoting well-being, economic stability, and unity across all communities.
